In short

  • A Tripura tender from a state department, a municipal body or a state company is published on tripuratenders.gov.in, the "eProcurement System of Government of Tripura". It is an NIC GePNIC portal.
  • You register through Online Bidder Enrollment with a Class 3 DSC (signing certificate), an email ID, a mobile number, PAN and your firm's details. The portal shows no enrolment fee, and tender documents can be downloaded free of cost.
  • Publishers on the portal include PWD (Roads and Buildings), Rural Development divisions, municipal councils such as Dharmanagar, the power company TSECL, Agartala Government Medical College and the tourism corporation.
  • For bank guarantees given electronically (e-BG), the portal lists a NeSL help desk on 1800 599 2345.
  • Technical helpdesk, 24x7: 0120-4001002, 0120-4001005 and 0120-4493395, and support-eproc@nic.in. Put the portal address and the Tender ID in your email's subject line.

A Tripura tender from the state government is published and bid online on tripuratenders.gov.in, Tripura's e-procurement portal. It runs on NIC's GePNIC software, so if you have bid on any other NIC portal, the steps will be familiar. This guide covers who publishes there, how to register and bid, how fees, EMD and e-bank guarantees work, and whom to call, from the portal's own pages.

What is tripuratenders.gov.in?

The portal's title is "eProcurement System of Government of Tripura". Its footer says the contents are "owned and maintained by concerned Departments in coordination with Finance Department and Information Technology Department, Government of Tripura", and that the portal is designed, developed and hosted by the National Informatics Centre (NIC).

The home page says the system lets tenderers "download the Tender Schedule free of cost and then submit the bids online through this portal". The tender schedule is the full tender: the notice inviting tender (NIT), conditions, drawings and the BOQ (bill of quantities, the price sheet).

Menus you can use without logging in:

  • Search, Advanced Search, Active Tenders and Tenders by Closing Date.
  • Tenders by Organisation, Tenders by Location and Tenders by Classification.
  • Corrigendum, Tenders Status, Results of Tenders, Cancelled/Retendered and Tenders in Archive.
  • Debarment List, MIS Reports, DashBoard, Downloads and Announcements.
  • Procurement Guidelines, which links to the Tripura Finance Department's website. When we checked on 11 October 2026, the page it points to didn't open, so if you need a state order, ask the office that invited the tender.
  • Help pages: Help For Contractors, Information About DSC, Guidelines for Hassle Free Bid Submission, FAQ and Bidders Manual Kit.

As on every NIC portal, searches and downloads ask for a CAPTCHA each time.

Who publishes Tripura tenders

The latest tenders and corrigenda on the home page on 11 October 2026 came from these kinds of buyers:

BuyerTypical work or supply
PWD (Roads and Buildings)Roads, bridges, government buildings
Rural Development Department divisionsCC roads, drains, village works
Municipal councils, such as DharmanagarTown roads, drains, water and street works
Tripura State Electricity Corporation (TSECL)Power lines, substations, materials
Agartala Government Medical College and GBP HospitalMachinery and hospital equipment
Tripura Tourism Development CorporationTourism works and services

Other state buyers include Agartala Municipal Corporation, the health, police, forest and fisheries departments, Tripura University and the urban planning and development authority. Use Tenders by Organisation to see who has live tenders today, and Tenders by Location if you work in one district.

Small works can come in batches. On 11 October 2026, Dharmanagar Municipal Council had several tenders on the home page with running reference numbers and the same closing date. If you're a small contractor, look through the whole series; you may qualify for several.

Central bodies in Tripura

Central government offices and PSUs in Tripura usually publish on their own systems, CPPP or GeM rather than on the state portal. Rural roads under PMGSY go on the PMGSY portal.

Tripura e-tender registration

Registration on an NIC portal is called Online Bidder Enrollment. Our NIC bidder registration guide shows every screen; this is the short version.

What you need

  • A Class 3 DSC with a signing certificate, on a USB token. NIC portals don't need an encryption certificate from bidders. See the DSC guide.
  • An email ID that becomes your login ID and can't be changed later.
  • A mobile number you check.
  • Firm details: name, registration number, address, PAN, year of establishment and legal status, plus your Udyam certificate if you're a micro or small enterprise.
  • GST details, added when you map your DSC.

How to register on tripuratenders.gov.in

  1. Click Online Bidder Enrollment in the login area. Fill in your login ID, password, company details and contact person, type the CAPTCHA and submit.
  2. Log in and map your DSC with your GST details. NIC's manual says you become a valid bidder only after this step.
  3. Allow a day. Only one DSC can be mapped to an account, and a new DSC can take up to 24 hours to be recognised.
  4. Set alerts under My Accounts by picking product categories, to get emails when matching tenders are published.

The login area also has Generate / Forgot Password and Find My Nodal Officer links.

Is there a registration fee?

The portal's home and contact pages don't mention one. NIC's own FAQ says NIC doesn't charge bidders for enrolment, though it depends on each organisation's policy. You can do every step yourself; nobody needs to be paid to "activate" your account.

Enrolment is not contractor enlistment

Your portal account lets you bid online. Many works tenders also ask for enlistment as a contractor with a state works department, in a particular class, as an eligibility condition. The NIT's eligibility clause says what is needed. Check it before you pay any fee or EMD.

How to bid on a Tripura tender

The bid steps are the standard GePNIC ones:

  1. Save the tender. Log in, open Search Active Tenders, tick the tender and click Set Open Tender as Favorite. It moves to My Tenders.
  2. Read the tender page: Payment Mode, Covers Information, Tender Fee Details, EMD Fee Details and Critical Dates.
  3. Download the NIT and work item documents, including the BOQ.
  4. Click Proceed for Bid Submission and pay the tender fee and EMD in the way the tender allows.
  5. Encrypt & Upload each cover with your DSC. In the finance cover, upload the department's Excel BOQ with only your name and rates filled in. Don't rename the file.
  6. Click Freeze Bid Submission and print the acknowledgement with your Bid ID.

You can resubmit from My Active Bids before closing, if the tender allows it. A bidder who withdraws can't take part in the same tender again, according to the central portal's guidelines for hassle-free bid submission.

Tender fee, EMD and e-bank guarantees

Downloading the tender is free. Each tender sets its own payments, so check its page for:

  • Payment Mode: online or offline, and the instruments accepted.
  • Tender Fee Details and EMD Fee Details: amounts and whether exemption is allowed.

For online payment, click Pay Online during bid submission. You can freeze the bid only after Payment Verification shows success. For an offline instrument, enter its details, upload a scan where the covers ask and deliver the original by the deadline in the NIT. If the two don't match, the bid can be rejected.

Electronic bank guarantees (e-BG)

Where a tender accepts a bank guarantee, for EMD or later for performance security, it may be issued electronically. Tripura's Contact Us page lists a separate NeSL help desk for e-BG queries: 1800 599 2345. NeSL (National E-Governance Services Ltd) runs the digital platform through which banks issue e-BGs. Ask your bank whether it issues e-BGs, and check the tender for the beneficiary details it needs. Our bank guarantee guide explains how BGs work and what to check before you hand one over.

How much EMD? The NIT says. Tripura tenders follow the state's rules and the tender's own clauses, so an EMD exemption you get in central tenders may not apply. Read the EMD clause, and see the EMD guide for when EMD is returned or forfeited.

Results, corrigenda and tender status

You can follow a tender without logging in:

  • Corrigendum: changed dates, documents or terms. Corrigenda are frequent, so check on the day you bid.
  • Tenders Status: the stage reached after closing, such as technical or financial bid opening.
  • Results of Tenders: the outcome once published.
  • Cancelled/Retendered and Tenders in Archive.
  • Debarment List: firms barred from tenders on the portal.

After logging in, My Active Bids shows your own bids. The tender status guide explains each stage.
