In short
- MP e-tenders run on mptenders.gov.in, the "eProcurement System Government of Madhya Pradesh". It is an NIC GePNIC portal, so it works like eprocure.gov.in and other state NIC portals.
- The biggest publisher by far is Urban Administration and Development, under which municipal corporations, nagar palikas and smart city companies post their tenders. PWD Roads and Bridges, MPRRDA and MP Power Generating Company follow.
- Register through Online Bidder Enrollment with a Class 3 DSC (signing certificate), an email ID, mobile number, PAN and firm details. The portal's pages list no enrolment fee.
- The portal says you can download tender documents free of cost. The tender fee and EMD, where charged, are on each tender's page.
- Helpdesk printed on the portal: 0120-4001 002, 0120-4001 005 and 0120-4493395 (24x7) and support-eproc@nic.in. For questions about a tender itself, contact its Tender Inviting Authority.
An MP e-tender from a state department, a municipal body or a state company is published on mptenders.gov.in, Madhya Pradesh's e-procurement portal. It runs on NIC's GePNIC software, so if you have bid on another NIC portal, the screens will look familiar. This guide covers who publishes there, how to register and bid, how fees and EMD work, and whom to contact, using the portal's own pages.
What is mptenders.gov.in, the MP e-tender portal?
The portal's title is "eProcurement System Government of Madhya Pradesh". Its footer says it is "Designed, Developed and Hosted by National Informatics Centre", with the contents "owned and maintained by concerned Departments of Govt. of Madhya Pradesh". The home page explains the basic deal: tenderers can "download the Tender Schedule free of cost and then submit the bids online through this portal".
A few things you see on the home page:
- Latest Tenders and Latest Corrigendums, which the portal says update every 15 minutes.
- Menus for Tenders by Organisation, Tenders by Location (useful for one district) and Tenders by Classification.
- A notice that the portal now supports only modern browsers. Use a recent Chrome, Firefox or Edge; Internet Explorer is no longer supported.
You can search tenders by Tender Category (goods, services or works) and by Product Category, such as Civil Works – Roads, Civil Works – Water Works, Electrical Works, Manpower Supply, Solar Power Plants or Medicines.
Who publishes MP tenders on mptenders.gov.in
GovtTenderHub reads mptenders.gov.in through the day. On 27 September 2026, our records held 5,325 live tenders from it. The organisations with the most:
| Organisation | Live tenders |
|---|---|
| Directorate of Urban Administration and Development | 2,970 |
| PWD – Roads and Bridges | 414 |
| Madhya Pradesh Rural Road Development Authority (MPRRDA) | 412 |
| Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company | 265 |
| MP State Agricultural Marketing Board | 87 |
| MP Forest Department | 83 |
| Public Health Engineering | 72 |
| MP Paschim Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Company | 56 |
Urban Administration and Development dominates because municipal corporations (Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Ujjain, Katni and others), nagar palikas and smart city companies all publish under it. If you do civil, electrical or sanitation work in towns, start there.
Other regular publishers include district collectorates, the Rural Engineering Service, the Directorate of Health Services, the prisons department, MP Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Company, MP State Civil Supplies Corporation and MP Road Development Corporation. Rural road works under PMGSY may also appear on the PMGSY portal.
MP e-tender registration on mptenders.gov.in
Registration on an NIC portal is called Online Bidder Enrollment. Our NIC bidder registration guide covers every screen; here is the short version.
What you need
- A Class 3 DSC with a signing certificate on a USB token. Bidders on NIC portals don't need an encryption certificate. See the DSC guide.
- An email ID that becomes your login ID and can't be changed later, and a mobile number you check.
- Firm details: name, registration number, address, PAN, year of establishment and legal status, plus your Udyam certificate if you're a micro or small enterprise. GST details are added when you map your DSC.
How to register
- Click Online Bidder Enrollment on the home page and fill in your login, company and contact details.
- Log in and map your DSC. Select your certificate and add your GST details. You become a valid bidder only after this step.
- Set alerts: under My Accounts, pick product categories to get an email when matching tenders are published.
Two rules from NIC's manuals: only one DSC can be mapped to an account, and a new DSC can take up to 24 hours to be recognised. Register at least a day before you plan to bid. Your mptenders.gov.in account works only on this portal; for another state's NIC portal you enrol again, using the same DSC.
Is there a fee? The portal's home, contact and announcement pages don't mention an enrolment fee, and the Announcements page shows no notices at all. NIC's own FAQ says NIC doesn't charge bidders for enrolment, though it depends on each organisation's policy. You can do every step yourself on the portal.
How to bid on mptenders.gov.in
The bid steps are the same as on every GePNIC portal:
- Find the tender and, after logging in, click Set Open Tender as Favorite so it moves to My Tenders and you get its updates.
- Download the NIT and the tender documents, including the BOQ (bill of quantities, the price sheet).
- Click Proceed for Bid Submission and pay the tender fee and EMD as the tender allows.
- Encrypt & Upload each cover with your DSC. In the finance cover, upload the department's BOQ with only your name and rates filled in. Our BOQ guide shows how.
- Click Freeze Bid Submission and print the acknowledgement with your Bid ID.
You can resubmit from My Active Bids before the closing time, if the tender allows it. A withdrawn bid can't be submitted again in the same tender, according to the central portal's guidelines.
Tender fee and EMD on mptenders.gov.in
Downloading the tender documents is free. What you pay is set tender by tender, so check these on each tender's page before you start:
- Payment Mode: online or offline, and the payment instruments the tender accepts.
- Tender Fee Details and EMD Fee Details: the amounts, and whether exemption is allowed.
For online payment, click Pay Online during bid submission. You can freeze the bid only once Payment Verification shows success. For an offline instrument, such as a demand draft or bank guarantee, enter its details, upload a scan where the covers ask, and deliver the original by the deadline in the tender. If the scan and the original don't match, the bid can be rejected.
MP tenders follow the state's rules and the tender's own clauses, not the central General Financial Rules, so an EMD exemption you get in central tenders may not apply. If the tender says exemption is not allowed, it isn't. Our EMD guide explains how EMD works and when it comes back.
Corrigenda, results and tender status
You don't need to log in to follow a tender. The portal's public menus include:
- Corrigendum: date extensions, amendments and pre-bid changes. The home page's corrigendum list shows how common date extensions are, so check before you submit.
- Tenders Status: the stage a tender has reached after closing.
- Results of Tenders: the outcome once published.
- Cancelled/Retendered and Tenders in Archive.
- Debarment List: bidders barred from tenders on the portal.
After logging in, My Active Bids shows your own bids. The tender status guide explains each stage.
MP e-tender helpdesk
The portal's Contact Us page lists:
- 24x7 helpdesk for technical queries: 0120-4001 002, 0120-4001 005 and 0120-4493395. International bidders add the country code 91.
- Technical email: support-eproc@nic.in
- Questions about a published tender: the portal asks bidders to contact that tender's Tender Inviting Authority, named on the tender's page.
