In short

  • A Jharkhand tender from a state department, a municipal body or a state company is published on jharkhandtenders.gov.in, the "eProcurement System Government of Jharkhand". It is an NIC GePNIC portal, the same software as eprocure.gov.in.
  • You register through Online Bidder Enrollment with a Class 3 DSC (signing certificate), an email ID, a mobile number, PAN and your firm's details. The portal's pages show no enrolment fee.
  • The portal says you can download the tender schedule free of charge. Any tender fee and EMD are set by each tender and shown on its page.
  • Publishers on the portal include the Drinking Water and Sanitation Department, rural development and rural works divisions, the Water Resources Department, Jharkhand State Building Construction Corporation, JBVNL and municipal corporations such as Dhanbad.
  • Technical helpdesk on the portal's Contact Us page: 0120-4001 002, 0120-4001 005 and 0120-4493 395, open 24x7, and support-eproc@nic.in.

If you're looking for a Jharkhand tender from the state government, the place to bid is jharkhandtenders.gov.in. It is the state's e-procurement portal, run on NIC's GePNIC software, so the screens and steps match other NIC portals. This guide explains who publishes there, how to register and bid, what you pay, where results appear and whom to call, based on the portal's own pages.

What is jharkhandtenders.gov.in?

The portal's title is "eProcurement System Government of Jharkhand". Its footer says it is designed, developed and hosted by the National Informatics Centre (NIC), and that the contents are owned and maintained by the concerned departments, in coordination with the Finance Department and the Information Technology Department of the Government of Jharkhand.

The home page puts the basic deal in one line: tenderers can download the tender schedule free of charge and submit their bids online. The tender schedule is the full tender: the notice inviting tender (NIT), the conditions, the drawings and the BOQ (bill of quantities, the price sheet).

What you can do without logging in:

  • Search and Advanced Search for tenders by words, department, value or dates.
  • Browse Active Tenders, Tenders by Closing Date, Tenders by Organisation, Tenders by Location and Tenders by Classification.
  • Follow Corrigendum, Tenders Status, Results of Tenders, Cancelled/Retendered and Tenders in Archive.
  • Check the Debarment List and MIS Reports.
  • Read the help pages: Help For Contractors, Guidelines for Hassle Free Bid Submission, Information About DSC, FAQ and the Bidders Manual Kit.

As on other NIC portals, searching and downloading documents ask for a CAPTCHA each time.

Who publishes Jharkhand tenders

The latest tenders and corrigenda on the home page show who is busy on the portal. On 11 October 2026 they carried reference numbers from these bodies:

BodyTypical work
Drinking Water and Sanitation Department divisions (Dhanbad, Sahibganj)Water supply schemes, pipelines, handpumps
Rural Development Special Divisions (Latehar, Jamshedpur) and Rural Works divisionsRural roads, bridges, buildings
Water Resources Department (Ranchi and other circles)Canals, dams, irrigation, flood works
Jharkhand State Building Construction Corporation (JSBCCL)Government buildings
Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam (JBVNL)Power distribution works and materials
Dhanbad Municipal Corporation and other urban bodiesTown roads, drains, sanitation
National Health MissionHealth services and supplies

Use Tenders by Organisation to see every body with live tenders today, and Tenders by Location to narrow the list to your district.

A note on "Call" numbers. Several of those references end with "(4th Call)". A call is one round of inviting bids, so a 4th call means the work has been invited four times. Read a re-invited tender afresh, because the department may have changed dates, conditions or the estimate.

Central bodies in Jharkhand publish elsewhere

Coal companies with mines in the state, such as Central Coalfields and Bharat Coking Coal, publish on the Coal India e-tender portal. Other central PSUs and institutes publish on CPPP and GeM, and rural roads under PMGSY appear on the PMGSY portal.

Jharkhand e-tender registration

On an NIC portal, registration is called Online Bidder Enrollment. Our NIC bidder registration guide walks through every screen; this is the short version for Jharkhand.

What you need

  • A Class 3 DSC with a signing certificate, on a USB token, with its driver installed. Bidders on NIC portals don't need an encryption certificate. The DSC guide explains what to buy.
  • An email ID that becomes your login ID. NIC's manual says it can't be changed later, so use one your firm will keep.
  • A mobile number you check.
  • Firm details: name, registration number, address, PAN, year of establishment and legal status, and your Udyam certificate if you're a micro or small enterprise.
  • GST details, which you add when you map your DSC.

How to register on jharkhandtenders.gov.in

  1. Click Online Bidder Enrollment on the home page. Enter your login ID and password, your company details and contact person, type the CAPTCHA and submit.
  2. Log in and map your DSC. Choose your certificate and add your GST details. NIC's manual says you become a valid bidder only after this step.
  3. Give the DSC a day. Only one DSC can be mapped to an account, and a new DSC can take up to 24 hours to be recognised. Register well before the tender you want closes.
  4. Set alerts. Under My Accounts, pick product categories to get emails when matching tenders are published.

The home page also has a Find My Nodal Officer link and a Generate / Forgot Password link for login problems.

Is there a registration fee?

The portal's home page, Contact Us page and Announcements page don't mention one. When we checked on 11 October 2026, the Announcements page showed no notices at all. NIC's own FAQ says NIC doesn't charge bidders for enrolment, though it depends on each organisation's policy. You can do every step yourself, so you don't need to pay an agent to register you.

Contractor registration with departments

The portal account lets you bid online. It is not the same as registering as a contractor with a state works department. Many works tenders ask for that registration, in a stated class, as an eligibility condition. Check the NIT's eligibility clause before you buy anything or upload anything. Our guide to tender eligibility criteria explains the usual conditions.

How to bid on a Jharkhand tender

The bid steps are the same as on every GePNIC portal:

  1. Find and save the tender. After logging in, go to Search Active Tenders, tick the tender and click Set Open Tender as Favorite. It moves to My Tenders, and you get its updates.
  2. Read the tender page. Note the Payment Mode, the Covers Information, the Tender Fee Details, the EMD Fee Details and the Critical Dates.
  3. Download everything: the NIT, the work item documents and the BOQ, or use Download as zip file.
  4. Click Proceed for Bid Submission and pay the tender fee and EMD in the way the tender allows.
  5. Encrypt & Upload each cover with your DSC. In the finance cover, upload the department's Excel BOQ with only your name and rates filled in, without renaming it. Our BOQ guide shows how.
  6. Click Freeze Bid Submission and print the acknowledgement with your Bid ID.

You can resubmit from My Active Bids before the closing time if the tender allows it. A bidder who withdraws can't take part in the same tender again, according to the central portal's guidelines for hassle-free bid submission.

Tender fee and EMD in Jharkhand tenders

Reading and downloading the tender is free. Payments are set tender by tender, so check the tender's page before you start:

  • Payment Mode: online or offline, and the instruments the tender accepts.
  • Tender Fee Details and EMD Fee Details: the amounts, and whether exemption is allowed.

For online payment, click Pay Online during bid submission and pay the total in one go. You can freeze your bid only when Payment Verification shows success. For an offline instrument, such as a demand draft or bank guarantee, enter its details, upload a scan where the covers ask, and deliver the original by the deadline in the NIT. If the scan and the original don't match, the bid can be rejected.

How much EMD? Each NIT states it. Jharkhand tenders follow the state's own rules and the tender's clauses, not the central General Financial Rules, so an exemption you get in central tenders may not apply. If the tender page says exemption is not allowed, it isn't. Our EMD guide explains how EMD works and when it comes back.

Jharkhand tender results and status

You can follow a tender without logging in:

  • Corrigendum: date extensions and changes to documents or terms. Check it on the day you submit.
  • Tenders Status: the stage a tender has reached, such as technical bid opening or financial bid opening.
  • Results of Tenders: the outcome once the department publishes it.
  • Cancelled/Retendered: tenders that were cancelled or invited again.
  • Tenders in Archive: older tenders, useful for seeing what a department bought before.

After logging in, My Active Bids shows your own bids. The tender status guide explains each stage.

Jharkhand e-tender helpdesk

The portal's Contact Us page lists:

  • Technical helpdesk, 24x7: 0120-4001 002, 0120-4001 005 and 0120-4493 395. International bidders add the country code 91.
  • Technical email: support-eproc@nic.in
  • Questions about a published tender: the respective Tender Inviting Authority, whose name and office are on the tender's page.

The helpdesk handles portal problems such as login, DSC mapping and uploads. It can't answer questions about a tender's terms; only the department can.

Jharkhand tenders on GovtTenderHub

GovtTenderHub reads jharkhandtenders.gov.in through the day, along with GeM, CPPP, PMGSY and the Coal India portal. Our Jharkhand tenders page puts them in one list that you can search free, and each department, such as the Rural Development Department or JSBCCL, has its own page showing just its tenders. Coal tenders from the state are on pages such as Central Coalfields and Bharat Coking Coal.
